Valeriya Isyak debuted at PAN Amsterdam 2025, the home city fair of Mia Karlova Galerie, with one of her first colourful explorations of porcelain - Ranunculus (2025) and an exceptionally dynamic Drop of Water (2025). The fair united national dealers, presenting fine art, antiques, modern and contemporary art and design during a nine-day show in November. Valeriya’s practice is deeply personal, often reflecting her contemplations on global issues and philosophical questions. There is an undeniable fragility to her work, yet it radiates a sense of resilience – an invitation for viewers to look deeper, to feel the beauty in both the vulnerability and strength that radiate from each piece. “Drop of Water’ (2025) demonstrated Isyak’s signature technique of “painting” with ceramic. She builds image and form through repetition and rhythm, ultimately pointing at fragility and structural depth. Her works seem to be made from paper or feathers. And there’s a tactile contradiction in the works themselves. At first glance, they seem fragile, weightless, soft, like feathers or delicate paper, but they’re solid porcelain. As Valeriya stated, “Ceramics felt like the natural destination of my artistic journey - a material that finally brought together everything I’d been searching for. It allows me to fully merge my experience in both mosaics and painting. With each piece, I don’t just solve compositional challenges - I immerse myself in color, in movement, in dynamics.”

Valeriya Isyak will for the second time present her works at PAD Paris 2026 with Mia Karlova Galerie, which presents a New Curatorial Narrative of Craftsmanship. Conceived as a statement, the presentation brings together singular works defined by artistic authorship, material intelligence, and emotional presence.
During the fair, Valeriya Isyak will premiere a new, spectacular porcelain triptych - Before the Sun. Before the Sun marks a threshold in Isyak's practice: the most significant work, one of her first explorations of colour, and her first triptych. In a world that constantly demands speed and reaction, the silent observation of the moment seconds before the sun rises reveals itself as a rare luxury. Before the Sun emerges from this heightened awareness of a state of perception, of an attempt to hold onto something fleeting, dynamic, and almost intangible.
SALON ART + DESIGN NEW YORK 2024

Salon Art + Design New York 2024 marked Valeriya’s highly notable debut with Mia Karlova Galerie. It was the starting moment for her international recognition. Her works are built through an intensive, cumulative process. Layers of hand-shaped porcelain elements form complex arrangements that suggest natural and atmospheric phenomena without becoming literal representations. The gallery presented her monumental diptych - Nexus (2025), alongside other works by internationally recognised artists and designers. Nexus yet again proved that in each of her creations, Valeriya goes beyond merely assembling porcelain pieces. She embarks on a unique process where she "paints" images with porcelain. This approach allows Valeriya to infuse her artwork with depth and intricacy, going beyond the traditional boundaries of porcelain. She expands the possibilities of porcelain beyond object, approaching it instead as a medium for spatial and sensory experience.

THE GARDEN WITHIN

р.
Mia Karlova Galerie presents ‘The Garden Within’, a new multidisciplinary show introducing the works of Dutch and international artists Femke van Gemert, Anastasiya Pribelskaya, Jesse Visser, Valery Pchelin, Anna Kunst and Valeriya Isyak. Paper, glass, textile, stones, crystals, porcelain feathers: each of the works invites us to reflect on the balance between our inner world and the external reality, and on how nature and art can serve as sources of renewal and regeneration.
In the world of ongoing chaos, we are trapped in the endless avalanche of disturbing information. An escapism becomes the only survival strategy. We search for the way to slow down and to hear ourselves again. We seek to restore lost connections with the nature and the world around us. Open from 28 May until 31 July, The Garden Within invites the viewer to the inner garden, a place of solitude and renewal.
The objects presented in the gallery serve as a way into this secluded inner space, where each of us finds a way to restore our emotional calmness, hide away from the streams of constantly changing visual images and go to true us. The Garden Within is a meeting of artists and designers who communicate through the language of tactile sensations, textures, and biomorphic forms, bringing to life a deep connection with nature and its rhythms.
The exhibition is co-curated by Mia Karlova and Marina Shirskaya
COLLECT ART FAIR, LONDON

Valeriya Isyak made her debut at Collect London 2026 with Mia Karlova Galerie as part of a presentation called "Beyond What Meets the Eye".
The exhibition presented Valeriya Isyak together with other core artists from the gallery’s programme, whose practices expand the very idea of what contemporary craft can be. Together, their works challenge our assumptions of materiality, offering objects that resist immediate recognition and reward close attention. Through intricate research and exceptional skill, each artist creates forms that appear to be one thing while being made of something entirely different - singular works that stand apart in the international field.
Valeriya Isyak’s remarkable ceramic work, which was exhibited there, truly blurs the intermedia boundaries in contemporary art. Her wall sculptures, made from thousands of hand-crafted porcelain petals, combine delicate craftsmanship with profound artistic expression.
